and help you hold the cost of the cake down while still presenting

Did you know that the wedding cake was traditionally not served as
desert at the wedding? It was wrapped up for the guest to take
home as a gift from the bride and groom. Young ladies slept with
the cake under their pillow as a source of good fortune.
